Veal with Honey and Lemon

Ingredients:

  • 1 Veal of 3 kg, approximately
  • Rosemary (to taste)
  • 2 kg of potatoes with skin, cut into thin slices
  • Juice of 2 Lemons
  • 4 tablespoons of Honey Empório do Mel/ The Honey Hut (if you prefer, add more)
  • 1/2 glass of White Wine
  • Black Pepper Empório Nut’s/ Vida Gourmet (to taste)
  • 1 Orange
  • Himalayan Pink Salt Empório Nut’s/ Vida Gourmet (to taste)
Method of Preparation:

  • Season the veal with the Himalayan Pink Salt Empório Nut’s/ Vida Gourmet, the lemon, the orange juice, the Honey Empório do Mel/ The Honey Hut and the Black Pepper Empório Nut’s/ Vida Gourmet.
  • Make small holes in the meat surface and place the rosemary branches.
  • Put the potatoes around and veal and season with the same ingredients.
  • Put some white wine and olive oil.
  • Take to the oven preheated to 230 °C, covered with aluminum foil.
  • Let it cook for 2 hours and 30 minutes, lower the oven and gradually add, with the broth itself.
  • Remove the aluminum foil and return to the oven for another 30 minutes to brown.
  • Keep adding the broth always, so that it doesn’t dry out.
  • Remove the veal and potatoes from the oven and add hot water at the form to make the sauce.
  • Place the meat and potatoes on a platter, cover with the sauce and then serve.
  • Remember that the cooking time varies according to the size of the veal and can also vary from oven to oven.
  • Check from time to time if the meat is already roasted or if it is getting dry.
